In 1878, Benjamin Campbell sold his vast orchard land for $5.00 an acre to a railroad company. He developed the first subdivision west of the railroad, where the water tower stands today. The bustling downtown district is the heart of what came to be the historical town of Campbell, a quaint suburban residential area in the Santa Clara Valley.

A vast majority of the existing homes in Campbell were built between 1950 and 1970 and still retain their original charm. There is high demand for older Victorian homes near the downtown area that feature the exquisite architectural design of days gone by. The San Tomas section offers varying lot sizes and house styles for a vivid sense of luxury unique to the region.

Many young professionals call Campbell home, drawn to the area by the perfect blend of an urban and suburban feel. With Los Gatos to the south and San Jose to the east, there is easy access to upscale shopping and dining experiences. There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and open spaces for unwinding, and the schools are highly rated.
